Led visual identity development, visual identity architecture, art direction, brand guidelines and rollout in collaboration with the Uberbrand strategy team and Metrics Credit Partners stakeholders.

Building clarity into a complex financial brand designed for growth.

Metrics Credit Partners had evolved into one of Australia’s largest non-bank corporate lenders and alternative asset managers, expanding across investment, lending, co-investment, partnerships and sector-specific opportunities. As the business grew, its existing brand architecture could no longer clearly communicate the breadth of its offer or the relationship between different audiences and investment strategies.

The Challenge

Metrics was operating across an increasingly complex business model, serving both investors and borrowers while continuing to expand its product and investment portfolio.

The existing brand system lacked the flexibility to clearly distinguish these audiences and offerings without fragmenting the masterbrand. The challenge was to create a visual system that could simplify how the business was understood, while still accommodating its scale, complexity and future growth.

The Response

Working closely with the strategy team, the broader brand architecture was redefined around the idea of Capital Crossover, representing Metrics’ position between investors seeking returns and borrowers seeking access to capital.

I led the visual identity development, translating that strategic thinking into a flexible visual architecture.

The ‘X’ became the defining visual device, expressing the crossover between both sides of the business while creating a recognisable framework across the brand. The system was designed to flex across different audiences, investment strategies and products without losing a clear connection back to Metrics.

A refined palette, typography, imagery and information hierarchy worked together to introduce greater structure and clarity across communications. The resulting identity gave Metrics a more distinctive market presence while creating the flexibility required for a business continuing to expand.

To support rollout, I led the development of the visual identity architecture and brand guidelines, defining how the system should behave across masterbrand communications, products and investment strategies.

The Outcome

The refreshed identity created a clearer and more scalable platform for Metrics, giving the organisation a system capable of accommodating new products, partnerships and investment opportunities without continually reinventing the brand.

The new visual architecture provided a consistent framework for growth while helping audiences navigate a complex business more clearly. The broader project outcome was an identity designed to be both extensible and scalable as Metrics continued to evolve.

My Role
